What does the words pagan and paganism mean?
Did you know that many of today's customs and traditions originated from pagan beliefs and worships?
What does this mean?
This means that so many beloved holidays that we enjoy celebrating with our friends and family are actually pagan.
Christmas, New Years, Easter, Valentines Day, St. Patrick's Day, and Halloween all originated from the pagans and their pagan worship.
You may be asking yourself, "How in the world are these pagan. I can understand Halloween maybe, but not Christmas and Easter! Expecailly not Christmas. These are days that we celebrate for the Lord."
Well if anyone loves doing things for the Lord I would be at the top of the list! Thats a fact, but how much do you really know about Christmas and Easter or in that case any Holiday? Have you ever sat down and bothered to do a study on the Holidays many people around the world celebrate each year?
I have and this is what I came up with!
Hos. 4:6
"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.."
December 25th the day the world celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. For they say this is the day that our savior was born. He was laid in a manger by his mother Marry and was worshipped by many, and the three wise men came bearing gifts for our precious Lord.
The world celebrates this day by different family traditions. Many have Christmas trees put up in their homes and decorated to the max. With many lights, yard decorations, and wreaths plastered on their homes. Hanging mistletoe, having dinners with family, and exchanging gifts to one another.
Most even tell a story to their children about a man named Santa Clause who comes riding on his nine reindeer delivering gifts to all the nice children of the world. Where he will tuck them fitly under the brightly shining Christmas tree and stuff a few presents in their stocking hanging over the fire place. Before he makes his trip back up through the chimney he will make a pit stop to enjoy the freshly baked cookies and cold glass of milk that the children left for him.
But Christmas has not always been so joyful an family oriented. Santa Clause, The Christmas Tree, and the Reindeer has not always been something families loved. There are deep dark secrets that today society does not wish to know about Christmas and the majority of the other Holiday's!
What are they you may ask?

Pagan Holiday's
It may be a surprise to some, but most holidays are flat out pagan. Early Christians adopted pagan beliefs and practices trying to convert the pagans to Christianity. Many traditions that Christians hold dear to today are symbolic gestures of the pagan occult traditions of over 2,000 years ago.
